collective effervescence

Tonight, I am happy to share another Poet Laureate highlight: reading a poem to commemorate the annual Scugog Township tree lighting for the fine people of Port Perry. This is the second poem I have written for the occasion, and the process always offers a singular challenge and joy.

Writing poetry is one thing. Creating public art is quite another. Maybe I’ll write about it one day.

For now, I want to thank the Township of Scugog and Scugog Chamber of Commerce for the lovely evening.
